Men's Basketball Announces 2002-03 Schedule
The Creighton University men's basketball team, which finished 23-9 on its way to the Missouri Valley Conference regular season title and fourth-straight NCAA Tournament appearance last season, has announced its 2002-03 schedule. (more)

Creighton To Compete in Inaugural Bracket Buster Saturday Series
Commissioner Doug Elgin has announced that four Missouri Valley Conference men's basketball programs will compete in the inaugural "Bracket Buster Saturday" series, which will be televised on either ESPN or ESPN2. League members Creighton, Illinois State, Northern Iowa and Southern Illinois will represent the Missouri Valley Conference during a day of non-conference action on Saturday, February 22, 2003. On Thursday, August 8, Creighton senior forward Kyle Korver will drop by to take your questions in chat. Creighton will be participating in Bracket Buster Saturday, a new one-day, nine-game men's basketball event matching potential NCAA tournament hopefuls against each other, to be played annually beginning with the inaugural event February 22, 2003. Creighton Signs Deal To Play At New Omaha Arena
Creighton University has officially put its name on the dotted line to be a tenant at the Omaha Convention Center & Arena. The future home of Creighton men's basketball will hold 15,800 fans for basketball and be ready for play by the start of the 2003-04 season.The initial contract is a five-year deal and can be renewed. Ismael Caro and Terrell Taylor Leave Creighton's Basketball Program
Two-time defending Missouri Valley Conference champion Creighton will have to do without a pair of reserves in their quest for a third-straight men's basketball title next winter, as head coach Dana Altman announced today that Ismael Caro and Terrell Taylor have announced their intent to transfer. Brandon Sims Signs To Play With Creighton Men's Basketball
Brandon Sims, a 6-5 swingman from Johnson County Community College, has signed a letter-of-intent to join the Creighton men's basketball team. Sims was tabbed as a preseason second-team NJCAA All-American before being forced to sit out the 2001-02 season with a back injury. The Birmingham (Ala.) native will join the Creighton program this fall with three seasons of eligibility remaining. (more)

Korver Nabs More National Honors From Basketball Times, Basketball America
Creighton junior forward Kyle Korver grabbed a few more national honors when he was honored by both Basketball Times and Basketball America recently. Basketball America tabbed Korver as an honorable-mention All-American in their April, 2002 issue. Korver was one of 54 players, but the only MVC representative, to earn honorable-mention honors. The publication named four All-America teams of five players each in addition to the honorable-mention picks. Korver was also pegged as Basketball America's Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year. (more)
