HIGH SCHOOL: Received first-team all-state honors as a senior at Poudre HS • A two-time first-team All-Northern Conference selection • Helped lead team to back-to-back Colorado Class 4A state titles as a sophomore and junior • Four-year team conference champions • A second-team all-state pick her junior year • Prep team posted a three-year record of 49-7-1 • Also an all-conference cross country athlete on a two-time state championship team • Member of National Honor Society.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Michael and Susan Phelan • Uncle, Wayne Bienhoff, played in the NFL for the San Diego Chargers for two seasons • An art major • Completed a four-week art course in Greece in the summer of 2000 • Born July 16, 1979, in Fort Collins, Colo.
